The very first vintage Whiting & Davis bag I had my hands on was one that gleamed with real gold.
It dated from the 1920s. Since then I’ve had the fortune to find a great variety of Whiting & Davis bags and other items of their famous metal mesh material.
Founded in 1876, their first metal mesh bag was made in 1892, and the business continues to this day. Vintage Whiting & Davis items have been collected and worn by fashion icons and everyday people for decades, while current styles (still of their famous metal mesh) make new fans.
